About Pardes Hanna-Karkur

Even before the establishment of the State of Israel, Zionist pioneers and people of the land were drawn to this region, choosing to build their homes here and shape their future.

The village of Karkur was founded in 1913, followed by the establishment of Pardes Hanna in 1929. In 1969, the two communities united to form the town of Pardes Hanna-Karkur, which today is home to approximately 50,000 residents.

Stretching across some 22,500 dunams (roughly 5,500 acres), our town offers a unique blend of wide agricultural fields, vibrant residential neighborhoods, and dynamic cultural and leisure spaces. This mix, along with the town’s warm, diverse, and community-oriented population, has turned Pardes Hanna-Karkur into a local hub for culture, creativity, and cuisine.

As a result, thousands of visitors from across Israel are drawn to the town each year to experience its special charm and the distinctive social fabric that defines it.

The local council sees residents as full partners in shaping the town’s future. Community involvement is deeply embedded in everything we do it is the heart of our shared progress. We are committed to delivering high-quality services and to continually improving the quality of life for everyone who calls Pardes Hanna-Karkur home.
